The Asterisk: Except for the Jews—How the Left's Hatred for Israel Exposes Woke Corruption
The woke left has long paid lip service to a commitment to “marginalized people,” “justice,” and “liberation.” But given their defense and even celebration of the vicious October 7th terrorist attacks on Israel, these commitments must forevermore include an asterisk, argues Atlas Society Senior Fellow Robert Tracinski, in his latest essay. We invite you to read Tracinski’s latest article which explores the history of woke progressive politics and how the current self-destructive behavior might be signaling a mass rejection of wokeness.
“The left’s reaction—its defense and even outright celebration of a terrorist group’s campaign of mass murder—puts a giant asterisk in front of everything they ever said about ‘marginalized’ people, about how ‘silence is violence,’ and any rhetoric they have ever used about ‘liberation’ or ‘justice.’ That asterisk stands for the proviso: ‘Except for the Jews.’”

Throwback Thursday: The Atlas Society Asks Michael Shellenberger
The Atlas Society launched The Atlas Society Asks back in 2020 as an innovative way to engage with our audience as people scrambled to adjust to knee-jerk lockdowns and mandates. With interviews ranging from entrepreneurs, artists, authors, and activists, one of our earliest episodes included a conversation with lifelong environmentalist Michael Shellenberger on the topics of socialism, environmentalism, Venezuela, homelessness, and more. We invite you to revisit this interview from the height of the COVID insanity, on issues that have only become more poignant over the last three years.

We’ve partnered with Pen Ultimate Rare Books to offer this special opportunity to acquire rare collectibles—and support your favorite nonprofit! This week, we’re excited to present Signed Limited Editions of Atlas Shrugged and Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal.
Did you know that Ayn Rand's publishers issued two of her books as signed limited editions? A 10th Anniversary Limited Edition Series of Atlas Shrugged, with only 2,000 copies signed and numbered by Rand, was released by Random House in 1967. And just a year earlier, a signed, limited series (only 700 numbered copies) of Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal, Rand's "non-fiction footnote to Atlas Shrugged," was issued by the New American Library in first edition format.
Pen Ultimate Rare Books is offering several copies of both Signed Limited Editions, all in collectible condition, all at favorable pricing for TAS supporters. Purchase a pair and save even more as a portion of the proceeds will support The Atlas Society and its mission.
